150th Anniversary of Church Dedication

9:30 AM Holy Eucharist, with solos by Diane Betlyon, Dawn Boose, and Jerry Fuhrman

Covered dish lunch followed: Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans and beverages provided.
A group photo was taken that day. The photo disk was written in DVD-R format, meaning that it is viewable only on a computer with a DVD-R drive. It cannot be viewed through a CD-ROM drive nor on a television DVD player. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.

A "Cat's Meow" wooden replica of the church is available for purchase.
The sign-up for the next order has been placed in the Narthex. Cost is $10.00 each. An order form is also available through this web site.. Please note that this order cannot be placed until there are twelve pieces reserved.
There may be other future orders depending on interest: each of these will also require a minimum of twelve (order total, not per person).
Previous Anniversary event:
On Sunday evening July 10 an outdoor musical event was held. Local Bluegrass Gospel group Set Free performed at 6:00 PM. This event concluded with a "make your own ice cream sundae" social.

April 26

9:00 AM Old Time Sunday School (Holy Communion at 10:15 AM)
All gathered in the Nave for a Sunday School session with hymns, scripture, and reflections on the Zion (Shaffer's) Sunday School by its leaders.
Those attending received a keepsake plus an additional candy ticket for the Picnic!
August 9 Family Day Picnic in the Picnic Woods
11:00 AM Holy Communion using Vacation Bible School songs.
The Picnic menu featured many of the foods offered at the Shaffer's Picnic, held on a Saturday in August until the mid 1960's. Menu included chicken corn soup, burgers in sauce, and Carman's ice cream.
